Security Inspection Software for Commercial Contractors
Simplify access control, intrusion detection, and surveillance system inspections. Document deficiencies, capture photos, and organize service records in one place. These are planned capabilities: security inspections are not available in Fire Inspect Hub yet, and we are building the early-access list now.
Four areas we are considering
Potential coverage, not committed launch features. Each page has a working inspection checklist you can use today, on paper or in whatever you use now.
1. Access control systems
Card readers, electronic locks, door contacts, and request-to-exit devices.
Access control checklist →2. Video surveillance / CCTV
Camera operation, recording functionality, image quality, and connectivity.
CCTV inspection checklist →3. Intrusion detection
Alarm panels, sensors, door contacts, and system communication.
Intrusion alarm checklist →4. Security doors and hardware
Door operation, locking mechanisms, and hardware condition. Security door hardware is planned.
Fire door inspections (NFPA 80) are available in Fire Inspect Hub today. Door hardware checklist →Where security inspection paperwork breaks down
Paper or inconsistent documentation
Each technician records the visit differently, so two inspections of the same site are hard to compare.
Photos disconnected from the record
Pictures of a damaged reader or a dead camera sit on a phone, not attached to the item they prove.
Deficiencies that drift
A failed item is noted, then nobody can say whether the corrective work was quoted, done, or verified.
Report preparation time
The customer-facing report is retyped in the office from notes and photos after the visit.
Fragmented service history
Equipment lists, past findings and service records live in different files, so each visit starts from scratch.
The workflow we propose
Planned, not available for security inspections. It is the same record-first workflow Fire Inspect Hub uses for fire protection today.
Inspect
Work through a digital checklist for each system and device on site.
Record deficiencies
Mark what failed, attach photos to the item, and note where it is.
Recommend corrective action
Write the recommended repair against each deficiency so the customer sees what needs doing and why.
Document completion
Close each deficiency when the work is done, and keep it in the site's service history for the next visit.
Potential capabilities include digital checklists, photo documentation, deficiency tracking, inspection reports, and service history. None of these are available for security systems yet.
For security contractors
Commercial security integrators, inspection and service contractors, access-control specialists, and security maintenance teams. If your shop also inspects fire protection systems, that side is available in Fire Inspect Hub now.
Security inspection software questions
What is commercial security inspection software?
It is software a security contractor uses to run a structured inspection of a customer's security systems, such as access control, video surveillance and intrusion alarms. The inspector works through a checklist on site, records what failed with photos, recommends the corrective work, and produces a report for the customer from the same record.
What types of security systems could be supported?
We are considering four areas: access control systems, video surveillance and CCTV, intrusion detection, and security doors and hardware. These are potential coverage, not committed launch features. The early-access form asks which ones you inspect so we know where to start.
Can it help document security equipment deficiencies?
That is the core of the planned workflow: mark a checklist item as failed, attach photos, note the recommended corrective action, and track it until the work is documented as complete. Fire Inspect Hub already works this way for fire protection inspections; for security systems it is planned, not available.
Is Fire Inspect Hub's security solution available today?
No. Security inspection software is planned, not available. What is available in Fire Inspect Hub today is fire protection inspection, including NFPA 80 fire door inspections for fire-rated door assemblies.
How can contractors receive early-access information?
Fill in the early-access form on this page with your company, business email, the systems you inspect and your team size. Tick the updates box if you want security product updates and early-access invitations by email; leave it unticked and we will only count your interest.
